Nutrition can have extremely powerful effects on the body. It can be safely said that food is the most powerful drug out there. It can dramatically affect mood, endurance, recovery, body composition, and concentration.

Here are some highlights of the Victory approach to nutrition:

  • A good nutrition plan must be personalized. We use a 65-item questionnaire as a starting point to determine your metabolic type.
  • Everyone has an ideal protein:carb:fat ratio. When this is met, the body works the way it was intended to.
  • Excess body fat is best thought of as an imbalance rather than simply excess caloric intake. The hormonal effect of different foods is too powerful to say a calorie is a calorie.
  • Trying to run the body on carbs all the time is ineffective for most athletes.
